  1. Mix salt, sugar, pepper and vinegar until salt and sugar have dissolved.
  2. Add the oil while beating briskly or shake vigorously in a small bottle after adding the oil.
  3. Slice the cherry tomatoes into halves if large enough.
  4. Pull some of the bocconcini cheese apart and leave some whole.
  5. Place in a salad bowl/plate and sprinkle basil leaves.
  6. Drizzle the dressing over and serve.
