walnuts broken into small pieces
Frosting (optional)

Instructions
Sift flour and baking powder.
Heat butter and cocoa powder until melted.
Cool slightly. Add sugar, flour, eggs, essence and half the walnuts and mix until combined.
Pour into a shallow pan and sprinkle the remaining walnuts over if frosting is not required.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until done. They should be slightly under baked.
Mix ingredients for frosting. Heat until melted and pour over the baked brownies. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
Cool slightly and cut into squares or rectangles.
